Purpose
Health and safety articles help readers recognize when a situation exceeds ordinary coaching or self-management, understand official prevention information, and find the responsible source. They are not personalized medical advice.
What we do not publish
We do not diagnose injury or illness, prescribe treatment, set medication or supplement doses, create return-to-play clearance, replace an emergency action plan, promise that a method prevents injury, or tell a reader to ignore symptoms or qualified advice.
Concussion and acute risk
Concussion content follows the recognition-and-removal boundary: suspected concussion requires removal from participation and qualified healthcare evaluation under applicable guidance. Articles do not provide a do-it-yourself clearance test. Heat illness, breathing difficulty, collapse, severe bleeding, neurological danger signs, threats of harm, and other emergencies require appropriate emergency action.
Mental health
Content can encourage supportive environments, help-seeking, and access to licensed providers. It does not diagnose a condition, provide crisis counseling, or frame sport as treatment. A person in immediate danger should contact local emergency services or an appropriate crisis resource.
Supplements and nutrition
We describe risk and official resources without endorsing a product. A label, retailer, influencer, or “natural” claim is not treated as proof of safety, legality, effectiveness, or anti-doping compliance.
Review and correction
Safety-sensitive claims receive source and date checks against government, recognized governing-body, or consensus guidance. When guidance changes, the relevant article is reviewed and any material change is documented.
