Corrections

How to challenge a statement and how material changes are reviewed and recorded.

Submit a precise challenge

Identify the page URL, exact statement, why it may be wrong or misleading, proposed correction, and an authoritative source. Do not send identity documents, passwords, private medical records, confidential team files, full contracts, or information about a minor that is not necessary.

Review process

The editorial desk compares the request with the source cited, checks dates and definitions, and obtains another authoritative source when needed. Repetition, search snippets, anonymous social posts, and promotional claims are not treated as independent verification.

Possible outcomes

A review may produce a material correction, clarification, updated source, documented uncertainty, or no change. If evidence remains mixed, we explain the limit rather than manufacture a definitive answer.

Correction notes

Material changes receive a dated note describing what changed. The original publication and meaningful review dates remain visible. Minor spelling, formatting, and broken-link repairs may be fixed without a correction note.
