Publication standard

Editorial desk

Why articles use a transparent desk byline instead of fictional biographies or unsupported credentials.

Athlete Systems Editorial Desk

All launch articles are attributed to the Athlete Systems Editorial Desk. The byline identifies an editorial responsibility, not a licensed clinician, athletic trainer, attorney, financial adviser, agent, eligibility authority, investigator, or emergency service.

Desk responsibilities

The desk defines a reader question, locates primary or authoritative sources, separates population evidence from individual decisions, drafts in plain language, checks links and dates, labels uncertainty, and routes material through the publication’s safety and corrections standards. No article claims first-hand testing, interviews, participant outcomes, access to private team records, or experience operating an organizational program.

Review limits

Source review can improve accuracy but does not transform a general article into professional care. Health and safety material focuses on recognition, prevention literacy, referral, and the need for qualified assessment. Contract, tax, eligibility, and safeguarding material explains questions and process boundaries rather than resolving a reader’s individual matter.

Accountability

Corrections attach to the publication rather than an invented persona. Readers can use the correction process to identify a specific claim, page, source, and proposed change.
